Question 1

Do I need a CV to use Pathfinder?

Accepted Answer

No. The assessment is a conversation about what you actually do day to day. It was built that way deliberately, because people with non-linear careers or qualifications earned outside the UK are the ones conventional CV screening filters out first.

Question 2

How long does the assessment take?

Accepted Answer

About twelve minutes. You get a month-by-month roadmap at the end naming the specific certifications and projects for the move you want to make.

Question 3

What kinds of roles does Pathfinder map people into?

Accepted Answer

Both technical and leadership routes. Of the 914 roadmaps produced so far, 594 lead to technical and AI specialisms — full-stack engineering, AI systems, cloud and security, data analytics — and 320 to corporate leadership roles such as HR, operations, project management and customer success.

Question 4

Is Pathfinder only for people in the North East?

Accepted Answer

No. Pathfinder came out of research into workforce integration in North East England and is built there, but the assessment and the roadmaps work anywhere in the UK.

Question 5

Does it cost anything?

Accepted Answer

The assessment and your roadmap are free.
