Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Pathfinder when you use the assessment. Short, because there is not much to it.

Last updated 6 September 2026

Draft — not yet in force

Needs a legal entity name, a contact address and a review by someone qualified before it binds anyone. Do not remove this notice until those are in place.

01

The agreement

By creating an account or using the assessment you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Pathfinder.

02

What Pathfinder is

Pathfinder assesses what you can already do through a conversation, maps it against demand in the labour market, and produces a month-by-month roadmap toward roles that fit. That is the whole of the service.

We may change or improve it, and we will not degrade it without good reason. If we ever have to withdraw it we will give you notice and a way to export what is yours.

03

The roadmap is guidance, not advice

This is the clause that matters most, so it is in plain words.

Your roadmap is generated by a language model from what you tell it. It is not careers advice from a qualified adviser, and it is not legal, financial, immigration or employment advice. It does not guarantee a job, an interview, a salary or a visa outcome.

Decisions about your career, your money and your time remain yours. Weigh the roadmap against your own judgement and, where the stakes are high, against a qualified professional.

04

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Give us accurate information. An assessment built on a description of work you do not do will produce a roadmap to a place you do not want to go.

You can close your account whenever you like. What happens to your data then is set out in the Privacy Policy.

05

Reasonable use

Please do not:

Use Pathfinder for anything unlawful; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer it; scrape it or resell its output as your own product; upload other people’s personal data without their knowledge; or enter special category data about yourself, which we neither need nor want.

We may suspend an account that does any of these, and we will tell you why.

06

Who owns what

The platform, its interface and its methodology are ours. What you write in the assessment is yours, and your roadmap is yours to keep and use however you like — print it, share it, work from it.

You give us permission to process what you write only so far as is needed to produce and store your roadmap.

07

Our responsibility

We provide Pathfinder with reasonable care, but not on a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will follow from using it.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take on the strength of a roadmap.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

08

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.

09

Changes

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you directly where a change materially affects you. Continuing to use Pathfinder after that means you accept the change.
